In its nearly 40-year history, SYSTEMS successfully established itself
as a professional business-to-business exhibition for the ICT market. Given its
consistent focus on marketable and efficient ICT solutions, SYSTEMS always
showcases the latest hot topics for optimizing business processes – in keeping
with its slogan
"Ideas for better
business“. High visitor quality (98% industry professionals), customer orientation
and a flexible exhibition concept including the opportunity for an intense
exchange of ideas and information took into account the needs of the small and
medium-sized enterprises as well as major corporations exhibiting at the fair. Even
the visitors who attend the fair – predominantly business and technical
decision-makers from the private and public sectors – received important
momentum for their investments and future plans based on the fair's solution-
and theme-oriented exhibition profile.
However, SYSTEMS also noticed a fundamental change in the market and its
needs during the past few years. The fair's classic exhibition sectors were
increasingly supplemented by a first-rate program of conferences and related
events. Domestic and international CEOs, managing directors and board members presented
all there is to know about the latest trends and developments in the ICT and
media industry. Accompanying panel discussion shed light on technological
concepts, evaluated application solutions in actual practice and analyzed
sector-specific applications. This development reached its highpoint at this
year's SYSTEMS – for the first time ever, the International Congress Centre Munich
(ICM) and the rooms that are available alongside the halls were completely
booked to capacity. There were a total of 13 events that had record-breaking
attendance of some 4,000 participants.
Although the trade fair
"where
the industry goes to work" is one of the most successful ICT
exhibitions in Germany,
Munich International Trade Fairs has decided to launch a completely new event for
the ICT industry in the autumn of 2009 that would entirely correspond to latest
market developments. That is why SYSTEMS will be replaced by a new event
beginning in October 2009. It says goodbye in a strong position – with 1,061
exhibitors, 39,000 visitors and the largest related-events program in its
history.
Additional information about this new event is available here.
